ABOUT  TPP

The People Project was created in 2021 as the renaming of The Huckleberry Foundation for families with special needs. TPP is a nonprofit foundation that provides financial assistance to families with children in need of therapy stemming from special needs, mental health issues and abuse.  We also do our best to aid local organizations that support these individuals.

Our mission is to help these children and their families live life to the fullest.

The People Project, formerly known as The Huckleberry Foundation was founded by Molly Russell, the mom of three precious little boys, one of which lives with autism. Her oldest son, who reminds this literature-loving mama of Huckleberry Finn, was diagnosed at the age of 4 with high-functioning autism. Molly and her husband quickly realized the impact that a special needs diagnosis can have on families, particularly in the financial area. The oftentimes high costs of quality care, education, and services to help these children live a full and happy life is one that many families simply can’t afford. The Huckleberry Foundation was formed out of a desire to help these children obtain the care and services needed to ensure they live as full a life as possible.

Families with special needs children and the organizations that support these families need your help. We have a favorite saying here, and that is "BE THE GOOD."  We ask that you join us in making this world a better place for special needs individuals.

Please be bold, be brave, be loving, be accepting and BE THE GOOD that you want to see around you.
