The Huckleberry Foundation's "Be the Good" Bash Set for April 1

The Huckleberry Foundation’s 2nd Annual “Be the Good” Bash

DJ Lucy Wrubel is ready to rock the rooftop for The Huckleberry Foundation’s 2nd Annual “Be the Good Bash” on Friday, April 1st. Kicking off Autism Awareness month, The Huckleberry Foundation is hoping to fill the rooftop at 2616 Commerce Street with friends ready to do good for families in need. The Huckleberry Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides support to families with special needs children right here in our community.

Park Cities resident, Molly Russell, founded The Huckleberry Foundation last year in an effort to support other families that were struggling financially to accommodate the “extras” that must be put in place for special needs children to thrive. “Had my son not been diagnosed with autism, I would have never been aware of the expense that comes when raising children with special needs and the stress it can put on families,” says Russell, “These children are part of the future of our community and their families deserve our help.”

The Huckleberry Foundation services disadvantaged families with all disabilities, not just autism. However, since the roots of the foundation grow from Russell’s personal experience, the Foundations’ big fundraiser each year will kickoff a month dedicated to celebrating differences and actively making the world more inclusive for all people.

In addition to the live entertainment offered by Wrubel, the “Be the Good” Bash will be a casual chic evening with tasty Mexican fare by La Comida, cocktails and a silent auction. The rooftop party begins at 7 pm and will continue until 11 pm as we dance the night away celebrating the generosity of support going out to the special needs community.
